New research from staffing firm Robert Half shows 64% of small businesses plan to hire before the end of the year.
Robert Half Vice President Jeff Sokolowski says they face challenges finding skilled candidates.
“What can help small businesses differentiate and give them the competitive edge is looking at providing flexibility to their existing and new hires,” Sokolowski. “Where possible, offer hybrid work models. 46% of small business managers say their ideal teams are working with a hybrid model.”
Sokolowski says savvy small business leaders are increasing their retention efforts by increasing compensation. They’re also offering retention bonuses and increasing recognition efforts.
